Children's Liturgy

"Sometimes, moreover, if the place itself and the nature of the community permit, it will be appropriate to celebrate the liturgy of the word, including a homily, with the children in a separate, but not too distant room. Then, before the Eucharistic liturgy begins, the children are led to the place where the adults have meanwhile celebrated their own liturgy of the word."

During the 9.00 & 11:00am Masses on a Sunday morning, the children celebrate their own Liturgy of the word, presented in a form easier for the children to understand.

The children meet in the Carl Barton room, in the community centre. Please can parents drop their children off 5 minutes before the start of mass and also please sign them in so we know who is there. We also require that children under the age of 5 are accompanied by at least one parent or adult carer.

This arrangement will allow the children to take part in a more full and shared experience of the Word of God, at their own pace & understanding. The children will then rejoin the rest of our Church community during the Offertory.
