Mothers’ Prayer Group
This is a small group of mothers that meet each week during school term to pray for their children and families, socialise and support each other. Meetings are held every Monday afternoon at different homes from 1.30pm to 2.30/3.00pm. The meetings follow the global Mothers Prayers format, with hymns, prayers and reflection on the gospel.

Another Mothers’ Prayer Group also meets on the same basis in the evenings on a less regular basis.
This warm and friendly Home Group gets together every first and third Monday of the month. Meetings are usually held in the home of members living close to the church.
The evenings are based mostly on the Readings of the day and include Worship and Praise, Thanksgiving and Intercessory Prayers. Lectio Divina on the Readings of the day or the following Sunday as chosen by the Leader of that day is the usual practice. Passages are read and meditated on; group and plenary discussion follow.
The evenings start promptly at 8 pm and finish at 9.30 pm with hymns and the Lord’s Prayer, followed by fellowship which is optional.
There are six Leaders who meet once a term to decide on the topics and discuss other matters of interest to the Group. Two co-ordinators and a group leader ensure the smooth running of the meetings.
