“I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life” (Niceno – constantiopolitan Creed)

The Holy Spirit (Holy Ghost) is a Divine Person given to us by the Father and the Son. He is the Lord, the giver of life. We adore Him and glorify Him equally with the Father and the Son. 
 
The work of the Holy Spirit is to SANCTIFY US and make us into Christ’s likeness. The Holy Spirit comes to meet us and kindles faith in us. He communicates with us, intimately and personally, the inner life of God. The symbols of the Holy Spirit are: Water, Anointing, Fire, Cloud and Light, The Seal, The Hand, The Finger, The Dove.
 
There are Twelve Fruits of the Holy Spirit according to Galatians 5:22 of St. Jerome translation of the Bible (Charity, – Joy, – Peace, – Patience, – Kindness, – Goodness, –Generosity, – Gentleness, – Faithfulness, – Modesty, – Self-control and Chastity). 
 
There are Seven Gifts of the Holy Spirit based on Isaiah 11:1-2: Wisdom, – Understanding, – Counsel, -Fortitude, – Knowledge, – Piety and Fear of the Lord.

In Hebrew, the term “Spirit” sounds Ruah, which, means breath, air, wind. He is the “Paraclete,” translated as consoler, “he who is called to one’s side,” ad-vocatus (Jn 14:16, 26; 15:26; 16:7). He is “the Spirit of truth” (Jn 16:13), the Spirit of the promise (Gal 3:14; Eph 1:13), the Spirit of adoption (Rom 8:15; Gal 4:6), the Spirit of Christ (Rom 8:9), the Spirit of the Lord (2 Cor 3:17), and the Spirit of God (Rom 8:9, 14; 15:19; 1 Cor 6:11; 7:40), the Spirit of glory (1 Pet 4:14), the “finger of the Father’s right hand.” (the hymn Veni Creator Spiritus)
